Rebound Exercise Recommended Following Weight Loss Surgery

By Amy Birkner

Exercise is important after weight loss surgery for a number of reasons. You will be losing weight rapidly, especially through the first six months. When your body realizes how rapidly your weight is decreasing, it shifts into starvation mode and tries to hold onto your fat as a preventive measure. When this happens, your body will burn muscle mass and keep the stored fat.

In addition, the fat in your body is where all excess hormones, chemicals, etc. is stored, and as this fat is released, your body chemistry changes. That is why it is so important to regularly exercise as soon as your doctor releases you to do so. Your metabolism (rate at which you burn calories) will increase and your body will burn the excess fat and not your lean muscle mass.

Exercise also strengthens your heart (a muscle) and bones, builds more lean muscle, burns calories, increases your metabolism and relieves stress. It also can help to prevent the depression that often follows weight loss surgery. For these reasons, exercise must become a daily routine in your new life.

If you aren't used to exercising, start out slowly after you have consulted your physician.

  • Start with just five minutes per day and keep increasing the time as your strength and endurance increase.
  • Work up to at least 30 to 45 minutes of exercise.
  • You will get the same benefits if you exercise for 10 minutes three times a day, 15 minutes twice a day or 30 minutes once a day.

There are good exercise programs and videos for people who are out of shape and for those who have bad knees or backs. You can exercise in your own home with a rebounder, for example, if you are uncomfortable going to a gym until you lose weight.

One of the best in home products I have found is a top-of-the-line rebounder called the Cellerciser. It is a mini-trampoline / rebounder that is used for various rebounding exercises (it comes with an instruction video and booklet) and can support people of 400 lbs. or more (which is far beyond the weight limits of most exercise equipment!). From their website:

"Cellercise® is a weight bearing exercise without the jarring and damage of most impact aerobic activities. Cellercise® uses vertical movement like weight lifting, push-ups, pulls-ups or sit-ups in a repetitive up and down motion. However, these conventional forms of exercise target and isolate specific muscles or muscle groups. It’s very time consuming and often tears down the body to build it up.

When weight or stress is applied to a muscle, it applies weight or pressure against the cell membrane. Cells increase the amount of protein in their membrane to avoid rupture. As we Cellercise® the cells get bigger and stronger. The movement creates momentum. Acceleration and deceleration create pressure changes within the body and an increased amount of weight against the cell membrane. At the bottom of the bounce, every cell in the body is stimulated, exercised and strengthened. Cellercise® exercises more than just muscles. Every cell is exercised, including internal organs, veins, capillaries, bones, connective tissue and skin. They are toned, cleansed and strengthened.”

As you rebound exercise on the Cellerciser rebounder you will lose more weight because you are burning calories while increasing your metabolism. This is especially important to keep your weight from plateauing, which is a frustrating part of your weight loss journey.

The Cellerciser -- The Best Rebounder to Lose Weight

Imagine being on your Cellerciser rebounder in front of your television, on the telephone, at the office or in the mountains while shedding pounds, building muscle, strengthening bones, toning the body, improving the immune system and overall health of your body without working at it.

Some things just sound too good to be true.

Actually, you really don't need to sweat or change your clothes while rebounding on your easy-bounce Cellerciser. This rebounder is just THAT good.

The word is getting out that Cellercise is a fun program that can be done at all ages. To thousands, it is the best way to lose weight.

It redefines exercise.

It makes reaching your fitness goals and desires entirely within the realm of possibility.

In fact, you really don't have to work hard at it, but it works hard for you and the benefits can be felt in just 10 minutes a day!

Yes, you heard right -- David Hall's Cellercise program takes 10 minutes a day.

It stimulates, circulates, strengthens and improves the efficiency of body parts and functions.

It doesn't lift weight away from gravity, it actually increases the weight of gravity by applying weight to every muscle over 100 times a minute.

Welcome to a whole new methodology of exercise called Cellercise!

You might think that this is "too good to be true."

We're not asking for a "leap of faith" here.

Rather, just read about it.

Check out and read from the many articles found on our website.

Do your research.

After reading, ask yourself if what we're talking about makes sense.

Then experience it for yourself!

The Cellerciser® is arguably the best built piece of exercise equipment around and certainly the finest rebounder/ mini-trampoline in the world. It has been called the "Holy Grail of Exercise".

Rebounding is on fire again as one of the hot fitness programs thanks in large part to David Hall who you'll learn more about below.

Buying a rebounder / mini-trampoline is a great idea, but it is important to remember that all rebounders are not made alike. A great many rebounders use weak steel springs, or bungee cords causing sinking and pronation of feet and knees which can cause back and other serious medical problems.

Many rebounders "talk the talk" but few can actually "bounce the bounce" so to speak. Some rebounder brands are not even close in quality.

I strongly encourage you to read on right here on this page to learn more about this incredible Cellerciser® rebounder!

Using it just 10 minutes a day can change your life for the better!

Resolve to achieve your fitness goals by having fun bouncing on the Cellerciser® rebounder!

The Best Rebounder is a Cellerciser!

Thousands of people have made the CELLERCISER® rebounder / mini-trampoline a major part of their personal rebounding, weight loss, toning and wellness programs by taking advantage of David Hall's Cellerise methodology of exercise.

The CELLERCISER® is argued by many to be the best built piece of exercise equipment around and certainly the finest rebounder / mini-trampoline in the world.

Because of its unique characteristics, the CELLERCISER® is touted as "not a typical rebounder."

Unlike jogging, walking, bicycling, and weightlifting, Cellercising is isotonic, isometric, calisthenics and aerobic all in one:

ISOTONIC: Moving up and down on the Cellerciser is a full-body weight bearing activity and strengthens muscles, connective tissue, ligaments and bones.

ISOMETRIC: By altering the angle of the body, specific cells resist "G-Forces." This tightens, lifts and tones internal organs, muscles, even skin cells.

CALISTHENICS: In the "Don't Exercise...Cellercise" Video, David Hall shows that using differenct techniques will target every part of the body, including thighs, knees, hips, buttocks, waist, stomach, arms, chin and intestines.

AEROBIC: For 10 minutess a day, you can challenge every cell in your cardiovascular pulmonary system. You don't need 20 minutes...CELLS DON'T HAVE WATCHES!

Rebound Exercise -- The Best Way to Lose Weight

Rebound exercise is again one of the hot programs in the fitness / weight-loss industry these days because of the numeous health and aesthetic benefits that can be gained. Many will attest that it is the best way to lose weight effectively.

A rebounder is also known as a mini-trampoline. Benefits of rebounding include gentle massage of the liver and colon; increased oxygenation on a cellular level; improved muscle tone; improved digestion, elimination and body detoxification; better weight management; increased energy; improvement in cardiovascular health; stress reduction and release; and an increase in strength, stamina, balance, and agility.

In particular, the rhythmic movement generated from bouncing properly on a quality-made rebounder is an excellent method for reducing stress. Many experienced rebound exercisers report that they can become totally relaxed through bouncing even into a trance-like state.

Rebounding also facilitates rehabilition and strengthening on a cellular level, says Center of Cellular Health's David Hall, which is remarkably effective in cell detoxification and total-body muscle toning.

When you know what you're doing, exercising on a rebounder strengthens every cell in your body--not just a few of them but over 75 million cells! It stimulates, circulates, strengthens and improves the efficiency of body parts and functions.

It is important to note that while the benefits of rebounding are many, they can only be accomplished when using a well-built rebounder. All rebounders are not made alike. Too many rebounders on the market use weak steel springs, or bungee cords causing sinking and pronation of the feet and knees which can cause back and other serious medical problems.

Moreover, bouncing on poorly-constructed units, usually foreign imports, have been known to often harm muscles, joints, and nerves because there is relatively no give to them creating an abrupt jarring effect that feels like you're landing on a hard floor.

Rebounding can be done at all ages. To tens of thousands, it is the best way to lose weight. It is a better way of doing exercise. It makes reaching your fitness goals and desires entirely within the realm of possibility.

So do your research online and experience the health benefits from using a quality rebounder for yourself.
